The rules that matter

  • No blanket distance rule — but individual institutions can add their own restrictions; the roster marks them and our lookup carries the flags through.
  • The cardholder must be present and be one of the six people; ID may be required. Additional visitors pay full admission.
  • Unusually, ACM's own page says reciprocal privileges DO extend to special exhibits.
  • Not covered: gift shop or café purchases, parking, special events, programs, summer camps or birthday parties.
  • ACM asks families to call ahead — its own directory and its July 2026 brochure disagree on about a dozen museums.
