Utah's Hogle Zoo has no regular free day right now — here's what exists instead. There's no free day for the general public. Free daytime admission is limited to military personnel and immediate family on Armed Forces Day, July 4, and Veterans Day. ZAP-backed Wild Wednesdays are a discount, not free: $6 online or $8 in person on the last Wednesday of each month from November to February in the 2025-26 season; 2026-27 dates are 'check back soon.' Zoo for All (EBT/WIC/SNAP) tickets are $12 adult and $10 child. None required. Buying online saves $2 per ticket. Verified on Utah's Hogle Zoo's own page, last checked 2026-10-02.

What it costs instead

With no free day on the calendar, the numbers are what they are — $22.95 adult (Oct-Apr; $26.95 May-Sept) per adult, $45.90 for two, up to $91.80 for four adults. The routes below — reciprocity, discount programs, or a library pass — are where that number actually comes down.

Upcoming free days

No upcoming free dates are published right now. Utah's Hogle Zoo announces free days on its official page — that's the place to watch.

Know before you go

  • Who qualifies: Paid admission (children 2 and under free).
  • Reservations: None required. Buying online saves $2 per ticket..
  • What's covered: Daytime general admission.
  • Schedule detail: No public free day; Wild Wednesdays ($6-$8) and Zoo for All ($10-$12) are discounts.
  • Worth knowing: Zoo for All tickets ($12 adult / $10 child, up to six) are sold only at the ticket window, not online, and the zoo accepts EBT and WIC cards from any state.

Other ways in, no calendar required

  • SNAP EBT cardholders should check Museums for All: at 1,700+ institutions nationwide, an EBT card plus photo ID admits up to four people for free-to-$5, on any regular day rather than a special one. The official list says whether Hogle Zoo takes part.
  • Zoo and aquarium memberships travel: the AZA reciprocal program gets members of other accredited zoos free or half-price admission at participating institutions — run your card through our reciprocity lookup before paying the gate rate.
  • Free on set holidays for military and veterans: Military personnel and immediate family on Armed Forces Day, July 4 and Veterans Day. See every museum with a military and veterans benefit in our free museums for military and veterans guide.

Dates don't line up?

Regular tickets ($22.95 adult (Oct-Apr; $26.95 May-Sept)) are on hoglezoo.org — the official site is the place to buy; resellers only add fees. A membership card from another city's museum or zoo might work here too — the reciprocity lookup answers it in one search.
