KCLS Museum Passes turns a King County, WA (outside Seattle) library card into reservable museum admission: kCLS cardholders reserve free museum admission online, with new passes released daily at 2pm and a strict one-per-month rule counted by visit date. Source: the official KCLS Museum Passes pages, checked 2026-09-14.
King County Library System cardholders. Getting the card is the easy half — free for residents, same-day at most branches with ID — and it's the only prerequisite.
Online booking at rooms.kcls.org/admission; new passes are released daily at 2pm and reservable up to 2 weeks ahead, as a digital QR pass on your phone or printed. One museum pass per calendar month — counted by the VISIT date, not the booking date, and a reserved-but-unused pass still counts.
As listed on the program's own site, the pass covers 8+ museums named on KCLS's own pages (running since 2009) — among them: Museum of Flight · Seattle Aquarium · MoPOP · Wing Luke Museum · Northwest African American Museum · Bellevue Arts Museum. A single reservation admits varies by museum.
Free admission. That makes it one of the cleaner programs going: what you reserve is what you get, at no charge.
Cross-reference first — of Seattle's institutions, 5 already have verified free routes documented here. Between reserved passes and scheduled free days, paid admission becomes the exception, not the rule. Full list: free museum days in Seattle.
