The Florida Aquarium Free Days

Updated 2026-10-02 · Free · No sign-up

The Florida Aquarium has no regular free day right now — here's what exists instead. There's no public free day. Prices are date-based ('Plan-Ahead Pricing'), so the price depends on the day you pick. The aquarium says it no longer takes part in Bank of America's Museums on Us and has no EBT, Florida-resident, senior, or educator discount. The one recurring free route is Sea Stars: Florida K-12 students who show a qualifying report card (all A/B, E/S, or perfect attendance) get in free in November, January, April, and June of the 2026-27 school year, plus 50% off two adult tickets. Reservations aren't required, but advance online tickets (valid for the chosen date) are recommended. Verified on The Florida Aquarium's own page, last checked 2026-10-02.

Know before you go

  • Who qualifies: Paid admission; children 2 and under free.
  • Reservations: Reservations aren't required, but advance online tickets (valid for the chosen date) are recommended..
  • What's covered: General admission.
  • Schedule detail: No public free day; Sea Stars (FL K-12 students, Nov/Jan/Apr/Jun) is report-card-gated.
  • Worth knowing: The aquarium has dropped out of Bank of America's Museums on Us, so older lists showing free first weekends here are wrong.

Other ways in, no calendar required

  • There's also Museums for All — show a SNAP EBT card and photo ID at any of 1,700+ participating institutions and up to four people pay $5 or less, every normal operating day. Whether The Florida Aquarium participates is on the official roster.
  • Zoo and aquarium memberships travel: the AZA reciprocal program gets members of other accredited zoos free or half-price admission at participating institutions — run your card through our reciprocity lookup before paying the gate rate.
